"Cruise" your way through paying for the Rose Parade trip by selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a 7-night Caribbean Cruise for two!
 

How does this fundraiser work?

Tickets will be sold for $5 each.  $4 of that will go DIRECTLY into your band account!  The other $1 will go to the general fund. This will be an awesome fundraiser!  


What is the prize?

 

 

The prize is a 7-night Eastern or Western Caribbean Cruise for two on Holland America Cruise Lines from Florida as well as $500 to help defray taxes and fees that the winner will be responsible for. Airfare is not included in prize. The winner may upgrade their cabin or add more people at their own cost. Deadline to take the cruise is one year from the date of the drawing which would be October 28, 2018.This prize is non-transferable. 


When will the drawing be held?

The drawing will be held at the Electric Light Show on October 28th. The rainout date is October 29th. Winner need not be present to win.


How can you get tickets?

 

 

 

Each band member may check out a booklet of 20 tickets. You are responsible for selling them. Any tickets not sold must be turned in. If you lose any tickets YOU are responsible for paying for them, so be very careful!  Each ticket will be numbered for tracking purposes. For LHS students a band parent will be available every Wednesday morning from 7:15-8:15 in the commons for ticket and money turn in or ticket check out. For LMS students a band parent will be in the cafeteria at 7:30am, Aug 31 and Sept 1 for ticket issue. You may turn in money and tickets on every following Thursday at 7:30am in the cafeteria.  


What should you do when you sell a ticket?

 

You should have the purchaser complete the information on the stub in legible writing. You should leave all stubs attached to your books. Do not remove the full ticket as it will increase the likelihood of losing a ticket stub, which is the part we need for the drawing. Give the right side of the ticket to the purchaser for their records. Please tear it carefully on the perforation.   


How do you turn in the money, ticket stubs and get more tickets?
 

We will collect them weekly and log your progress. A band parent will be in the LHS commons every Wednesday morning. If you sell your original allotment, you may check out more tickets as long as they are available. All tickets must be returned by October 20th. Remember that failure to turn in any unsold tickets or money will result in your band account being charged for the unaccounted amount.


PRIZE

The cabin category won is the minimum inside stateroom category N. If you are interested in a category upgrade or wish to take children, you can get a rate quote from the travel agency once dates have been chosen.
 
The cruise prize does not include taxes and fees, which were approximately $350-$400 per person for the 2016 season. You are also responsible for your own airfare and transportation to and from the airport and cruise ship.  There are some blackout dates that apply (generally around holidays and other high demand weeks).
